The Texas A&M Software Alliance gives students free access to specialized software to better prepare them for a successful career. Most software is used by engineering, medical, veterinary, physics and science students.
Texas A&M has negotiated license agreements with software vendors that allow faculty and staff to buy some products at reduced prices for personal use ("work-at-home rights").
Texas A&M's license agreement with Microsoft extends rights to use software on personally owned computers. If a department, college or campus opts in to these licenses, eligible employees can get a license for Office 365 at no cost for home use at software.tamu.edu.
Other license agreements have work-at-home rights for all Texas A&M faculty and staff. Departments do not need to opt in to these licenses for their employees to be eligible.
